The Center for Advanced Research in Drying (CARD)is a National Science Foundation (NSF)-Sponsored Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) devoted to research in drying of moist, porous materials such as food and other agricultural products, forestry products, chemical products, textiles, and biopharmaceuticals. CARD was founded by Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, Massachusetts, lead institution, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
