Airflow Sciences Corporation is accepting applications for the following position(s):

Shop Assistant / Technician

Entry Level Position, Full Time, Hourly

Duties & Responsibilities

• Organization / inventory of shop and lab supplies
• Maintenance of laboratory, office, and test equipment
• General handy-man type repairs
• Assist with laboratory experiments.
• Involvement in testing at client sites
  • Prepare equipment for test trips
  • Travel and assist with field testing

Job Requirements

• Candidates will have the following skills, and a desire to learn more:
  • Strong work ethic

  • Good driving record
  • Basic experience with hand tools (saws, drills, etc.)

• The following skills are beneficial:
  • Basic home or office maintenance (electrical/wiring, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)
  • Experience with basic shop equipment (table saw, drill press, band saw, etc.)
  • Forklift and/or order picker operations

Fluids Research and Testing Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to solve fluid flow problems in a variety of industries, including Power Generation, Automotive, Food Processing, and Manufacturing.
• Time will be split between numerical simulation, testing of physical models, and on-site testing.

Job Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with specialization in the fields of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Experience in the one or more of the following areas preferred:
  • CFD modeling/analysis (preferably with FLUENT)
  • Flow measurement techniques
  • Data analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Customer service skills including the ability to deal with customers by telephone
• A high degree of self motivation.
