Oven Design Modification


ASC employed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling to improve flow distribution and performance for this impingement oven.  The original design of the impingement oven plenum resulted in peak velocities in the corners of the oven module that were up to 2.4 times the desired velocity.  Non-uniform product treatment and product damage resulted.
