Field Testing Supervisor

Airflow Sciences is looking for an experienced field services representative to help us expand our testing department. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, conducting temperature, air flow and/or gas species testing at various industrial facilities located throughout the United States in accordance with applicable state and federal test methods. This position also involves preparing for tests, managing personnel in the field, calibrating and maintaining test equipment, developing preliminary and final reports, and researching test methods.

Qualified applicants should possess the following:

  • 5+ years experience
  • Aptitude and interest in science, technical work, mechanical equipment, and air quality
  • High school diploma, basic math, science, and mechanical skills
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred (especially science, engineering, or related field)
  • Capacity for overnight and local travel for multi-weekday projects up to fifty percent of the time or more. Weekend travel or work is rare but may be required for a few projects during the year.
  • Ability to work in outdoor industrial settings, including climbing to and working on elevated platforms.
  • Working knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations, specifically Parts 60 and 75
  • Working knowledge of flow measurement methods (2, 2G, 2F)
  • QI certification is a plus, otherwise must be capable of obtaining certification
  • Capability to pass background checks and random drug tests
  • Proficiency with PC and Microsoft applications, including word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to wear a full face respirator
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs
  • Valid drivers license
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Strong documentation skills

Position responsibilities include:

  • Upfront communication with the client to clearly outline the parameters of the test
  • Calibration and maintenance of a wide variety of test equipment
  • Maintaining the testing quality program and updating as necessary
  • Overseeing test activities at client sites
  • Compiling test data into formal test reports
  • Writing test equipment and system operation procedures
