Cement
ASC has performed modeling and testing services for the cement industry, and can help verify MACT compliance or solve other complicated engineering problems. Many of our past projects focused on pollution control including ESPs, baghouses, or NOx reduction. Other projects involved kiln or preheater tower improvement, fan performance, and other thermal processes.

ASC engineers use CFD modeling to quickly compare design alternatives and on-site testing to help existing equipment run more efficiently.
Recent Projects Include:
- ESP flow studies that include improving balance between ESP chambers and assessing performance under increased-load conditions
- Baghouse thermal mixing analysis
- On-site kiln fan testing
- Transient modeling of dual blast air cannon to clean screens
- Gas and particle modeling in transfer chutes and radiant coolers
- CFD modeling of axial fan and stack to eliminate swirling flow
- Coal pipe testing for establishing coal flow and particulate loading
- Kiln shroud flow and heat transfer modeling
- Cooling droplet size requirement study
